This fall we will be looking at many of Jesus’ parables,
seeing their meaning in their cultural context and then
exploring how the meaning of the parables applies to
today’s cultural context. Make plans to be a part of the
fantastic sermon series.
September 8 – Introduction to the Parables
September 15 – Parable of the Sower
(Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23)
September 22 – Parable of the Wise and Foolish Builder

When the hard times come. (And they will come!!) Are you going
through a difficult period of life? The loss of a loved one?
Unemployment? A crisis of faith? Depression? Discouragement?
Or, do you know someone that is experiencing those types of
things? During these desert times, it’s easy to think God has
disappeared. Instead, discover that it’s only when we are totally
dependent on him that we find him closer than ever and can
experience God’s amazing grace and provision. The small group
study we will be using is titled: “Walking with God in the Desert –
Experiencing Living Water when Life is Tough.”
If you are not in a small group and would like to join one, just show up in Unruh Hall on any Sunday morning at 9:30 am!
The Presbyterian Women of Evergreen (PW) group meets during
the school year on the second Friday of each month. The
gathering place is Unruh Hall and there is a Bible study and a
business meeting. The study will be using a book titled: “Angels –
Standing Guard.” PW is open to all women in the Evergreen
family. The next PW gathering is Friday September 13 at 9:30 am.
One of the best goals we can set for ourselves is to read the bible. This daily plan breaks down scripture passages day by day for each month. This plan, also, has “grace” days built into it! Each month has 25 days of Bible readings. Pick up your copy today and read through the Bible in one year plan and make plans to read through the Bible in 2019.
Currently we are in the middle of our "Grow2Go" Bible Study Series and we hold Sunday Morning Classes at 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join us. We believe that honest discipleship and positive relationships happen in small groups. Our small groups strive to give you the opportunity to connect with other believers and allows you to grow and mature in your faith through a safe environment.
Worship is the center of Evergreen’s life together as a church. We recognize that we are imperfect and in need of the life changing power of Jesus Christ. On Sunday mornings the atmosphere is relaxed, dress is casual, the singing is inspirational and the preaching is biblical.

Matthew 20:28 Tells us serve those in need
Mathew 28:18-20 Asks us to reach those who do not know Jesus.
