"Worship is first and foremost for His benefit, not ours, though it is marvelous to discover that in giving Him pleasure, we ourselves enter into what can become our richest and most wholesome experience in life." (Graham Kendrick, as found on page 58 "A Heart For Worship" by Lamar Boschman)
The center of our life as a church is worship. In addition to the personal worship that each member offers throughout the week, we gather together as a covenant family to worship God.
The following are some things that will help to inform you about Sunday morning worship at Evergreen:
Worship is the center of Evergreen’s life together as a church. We recognize that we are imperfect and in need of the life changing power of Jesus Christ. On Sunday mornings the atmosphere is relaxed, dress is casual, the singing is inspirational and the preaching is biblical.

Our mission is centered on two directive from our Lord Jesus.
Matthew 22:37-39 - The Great Commandment – “Jesus replied, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Matthew 28:19-20a - The Great Commission – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Our leadership is made up of several boards responsible for governing and providing oversight for organization's affairs. Consider them an executive team of men and women who give oversight and direction to each department and ministry.
The government of this church, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, is vested in the Elder Board, whose authority is derived from our body of believers. Only members of our organization who are of high character and integrity, who maintain an excellent reputation, and who demonstrate leadership in our ministry may be elected as Elders.
Each person in his or her particular role is committed to the Vision, Mission, and Values of our organization. In short, when you find your spiritual home with us, you're finding a community for you to trust, learn from, and participate in!
